States with Published Diabetes Care Programs

• The New Jersey Department of Education has published its Guidelines for the Care of Students with Diabetes in the School Setting.
• The New York State Department of Health offers Children with Diabetes: A Resource Guide for Families of Children with Diabetes (87 pages) and Children with Diabetes: A Resource Guide for Schools (103 pages). New York state residents can even order free printed copies.
• Guidelines For Care Of Students With Diabetes (Appendices) from the Washington State Task Force for Students with Diabetes is available online. This excellent guide can serve as a starting point for school systems interested in establishing a diabetes program.
