Question:

From India:

Can a CT angiography detect coronary plaque in a diabetic as well as coronary angiography?

Answer:

At this time, coronary angiography is the gold standard for diagnosing high-grade atherosclerosis in the coronary arteries. Great strides have been made with CT angiography but they are not superior to usual angiography.
