From Bellingham, Washington, USA:

I am 59 years old, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes two months ago, and I have neuropathy along with protein in my urine. I would like to take three grams of fish oil per day to help prevent heart disease. Is this okay?

Answer:

The fish oil is not a bad idea. You should speak with your physician about this.
